Salvation Army
Quarterly contributions are given to this local group to help support its operating expenses and assistance provided to residents of Harrison County. Several of our church members participate in their holiday funding drive during the Christmas season by “ringing the bell” and collecting at area businesses. Tom Kenny, a current member of our congregation, leads this mission in Harrison County.
Harrison County Food Pantry
A local organization that provides food, clothing and personal care items to any needy resident in Harrison County. Our church contributes a quarterly donation to this ministry to assist them with daily operating costs and purchasing of products and supplies.
Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp
A Christian service camp located in Bergholz, Ohio that hosts many summer camps to youth, young adults, families and adult groups. Many of our church members have attended at least one camp at Elkhorn Valley during their life, helping to strengthen their faith and commitment to Christ. Our Women’s Christian Ministry commits to assisting any child attending our church with tuition costs for the camps. A quarterly contribution is made to this ministry to assist them with daily operating costs.
Myanmar Agape Christian Mission
Missionary, Lazarus Fish, has been serving in this ministry with our church support for many years. It is located in Myanmar, which is in southeast Asia bordering China. Lazarus has been successful in bringing Christ to many residents through church services and schooling. We contribute a quarterly donation to help with operating costs and outreach services.
Greater Europe Mission
A monthly contribution is made to missionaries, Steve and Sarah Kanton, to assist them in England with their ministry of sharing God’s love through services and small group studies. They also have opened a small coffee shop to help reach out to the community and share the Gospel. Steve is the son of Nancy Shaner, a member of our congregation.
Canton Christian Home for Benevolent Care
A quarterly contribution is made to this home located in Canton, OH to help with the expenses of caring for and showing God’s love to our elderly and adults in need of assistance. Several of our prior church members have lived at this facility and benefited from their Christian care and love.
World Vision
Our monthly contribution goes towards this Christian organization that works to help communities lift themselves out of poverty for good. They follow Jesus’ example by showing unconditional love to the poor and oppressed. They work to pull up the roots of poverty and plant seeds of real change believing that no situation is hopeless because of the hope they have in Jesus.
91Four Ministry
Local resident, Tara Rodgers, started this ministry in 2014 after a trip to Uganda where she witnessed the poverty of teenage Karamojong girls. They were living in city slums and were often becoming victims of sex-trafficking, child exploitation, early-teen pregnancy, starvation or disease. Our monthly sponsorship of one girl helps to not only shelter, clothe and feed her, but also educates, counsels and provides a vocational training program to help give her a stable life.
Puerto Rico Christian Mission
The Dove family (Chris, Marissa & Gideon) are full-time missionaries who work to share the Gospel and teach the local people about finding their identity through Christ. This mission has existed for over 50 years and was previously run by John and Mary Gidley. We provide a quarterly contribution to the Dove family.
